How to not make testimonials more wooden than Geppetto’s workshop

Stop trying to control how the testimonials are done. Let the love flow organically because you never know what gold nuggets get dropped.

Don’t get me wrong. I know there’s all things that we’d like clients to say, But it’s about what they like, not what we like.

I get you’re trying to push your brand down a certain path, but if you take out all the stuff that they like, and try force a bunch of stuff out their mouths that you think prospects will like…

It will feel wooden, not real and prospects won’t relate to it.
Like Monty Python’s witch you could and should burn it.
I advise instead that you focus on what the client really likes about your business.

Look at the filming of a testimonial as a chance to see what your customers love about you.
From these insights you could even tweak how you brand yourself, along those lines, not the other way around.

Don’t fall in love with your answer, fall in love with the problem, I think someone once said.
